Learning Objectives

1. To identify common and life-threatening conditions seen on plain x-ray and CT in the ED.

2. To become familiar with major radiological signs in emergency cases.

3. To understand the basics of the appropriate use of diagnostic imaging in emergency patients.

4. To learn about the advantages of CT imaging in CNS, thoracic and abdominopelvic emergencies.
